When Mary, Abby and I used to hang out at my flat in Logan Square, usually at night, in the early Aughts, I would play DJ for them. This, the third, eponymous Velvet Underground album, was their favorite. Abby especially, felt that the songs (like Some Kinda Love) articulated something that she, herself, couldn't articulate. And the resultant buzz we got was mellow and intense at the same time.

 Today, A Clangorous Din returns to the high end of the charts: #20 in Jazz Overall, #2 in Acid Jazz.

As of 2-16 and 2-22, we're up to #19-#2. #20-#2 repeated on 2-18, 2-20, and 2-21. As of 2-23, #17-#2.

Stone the Devil, by Speck (and using a sample from This Charming Lab), which was the first Acid Dropping track the appear extensively online in 2020, has finally become a #1 hit on the Soundclick Acid-Jazz sub-generic chart. Cheers!
